How I prioritize kid + social media management
Meet Kylie – our talented + TikTok savvy SMM extraordinaire.
She’s sharing all about living the remote job life PLUS parenting her adorable little guy (+ another on the way!)
Being a stay-at-home mom, social media manager, and influencer is a full-time job that is both hectic and rewarding. I have the opportunity to connect with others and share my unique perspective with the world. Whether I'm providing parenting advice, sharing photos of my son, or documenting my daily routines, the possibilities for connection are endless.
However, being constantly connected to social media can have its downsides. It's easy to get caught up in the likes, comments, and shares, and forget about the important things in life. That's why I find it crucial to set boundaries and prioritize my own well-being and my family's needs.
As a social media manager at Nowaday Studio, my job is to create and curate content for various social media platforms to help businesses reach their target audience and grow their online presence. This can involve developing a social media strategy that aligns with the company's goals, researching and analyzing trends and data, and creating engaging content that resonates with the target audience. I also need to be familiar with social media best practices, like optimal posting times, effective keywords, and the latest platform updates.
But being a social media manager and influencer isn't all work and no play! It's also an excellent way to exercise my creative muscles and make a meaningful impact on a business's online presence. Plus, the ability to work remotely and on a flexible schedule is a major perk for me as a stay-at-home mom.
As a someone who wears many hats; mom, social media manager and local influencer, my job looks a bit different than the traditional 9-5 office gig. I work early in the morning or late at night, depending on my family's schedule, and I need to be able to balance my social media responsibilities with the needs of my kid.
But with a bit of organization and prioritization, I somehow make it work. In fact, my little one often inspire some of my best social media content! After all, who can resist the silly things toddlers get up to… or into rather.
So, I take a moment to snap that perfect shot, and share it with the world. But, I also remember to enjoy the moment and make time for the things that truly matter in life. Whether it's taking a walk with my kid, enjoying a cup of (sometimes hot #iykyk) coffee, or simply taking a few deep breaths, it's important for me to prioritize my own well-being and the needs of my family. Being a SMM and influencer may be a balancing act, but it's a unique and rewarding experience that allows me to connect with others, share my story, and showcase my creativity all while raising my son at home.
